One of the leading factors influencing the successful implementation of a major information management system is the role of upper management. To achieve maximum benefit, management must take a proactive, aggressive role in the implementation process and the management of the system and its applications. From the perspective of the author's experience with Network Modeling Systems, this paper provides suggestions for maximizing the benefits to be gained from the implementation of advanced information systems.
